Newly Elected Pioneers

The NASW Social Work Pioneer® Program was created to honor social workers who have contributed to the evolution and enrichment of the profession. The Pioneer Program identifies and recognizes individuals whose unique dedication, commitment and determination have improved social and human conditions. NASW Social Work Pioneers® have 25 or more years of experience as a social worker and are elected by their peers. Being elected a Pioneer is one of the highest honors in the field of social work. Fewer than 800 social workers, both living and deceased, have thus far been elected Pioneers. The following social workers have been elected to the program since November 2012.
