NASW Celebrates African American History Month

NASW Election This Spring

Ballots for the election of NASW board and nominations committee members will be mailed this spring. All candidates' information will be enclosed and will be on NASW's Web site. Online voting will be an option.

Katrina Relief

NASW and the NASW Foundation thank recent donors to the Social Work Disaster Fund to provide financial assistance to social workers affected by Hurricane Katrina.

HIV/AIDS Project to Train Trainers

The NASW HIV/AIDS Spectrum: Mental Health Training and Education of Social Workers Project will hold a national training of trainers in September 2006 for social workers with expertise in mental health and HIV/AIDS. The project's goal is to provide the necessary HIV and mental health practice skills for people working in social work, mental health and substance abuse fields to enhance and promote culturally competent practice with individuals, families and communities affected by HIV/AIDS. The program's target audience includes social workers, allied mental health care providers and students in schools of social work.
