Nominees Are Sought For Top National Awards

NASW is accepting nominations for its 2002 national awards. The awards honor social workers and other individuals who through their work or advocacy have advanced the principles and vision of the profession.

Awards, and those who may submit nominations for them, are

  • Social Worker of the Year—NASW chapters only
  • Public Citizen of the Year—NASW chapters, individuals and social welfare organizations
  • Public Elected Official—NASW chapters and members, individuals and social welfare organizations
  • Lifetime Achievement Award—NASW chapters and individuals

The NASW Foundation is accepting nominations for the International Rhoda G. Sarnat Award. This $3,000 award is given to an individual, group or organization that has significantly advanced the public image of professional social work.
