Celebrate Social Work Month in
March 2005!
NASW's 50th anniversary
this year is a special milestone in the history of celebrating
Social Work Month. It also marks the launch of the National
Social Work Public Education Campaign and shares
the same theme.
Social Workers. Help Starts Here.
This theme came
out of research with the general public who see social work
as an important helping profession. It's simple and clear,
inviting the public to learn something new about the profession-- specifically,
how a social worker can help them. The theme also reinforces
the point that social workers connect people to resources.
It invites people to start with a social worker when seeking
help for a variety of issues.
We ask you to use
the theme and the logo beginning in March to help bring awareness
to what the profession has to offer, and to begin promoting
the campaign.
