Research
Symposium on the Politics of Race, Culture, and Health
The Department
of Health Policy Studies in the School of Health Sciences and Human
Performance in collaboration with the Office of Multicultural Affairs
at Ithaca College announces a Call for Original Research Papers

health policies as they pertain to race and culture
- application
of public health and environment laws in diverse communities
- ethnographic
accounts of groups, communities, or families negotiating health
issues
- development
and evaluation of social marketing campaigns aimed at specific
groups based on race and culture
- social, class,
and ethnic barriers and challenges faced by those who seek medical
care or public health services
- the epidemiology
of race, culture, and health
- actions to overcome
racism in environmental and health situations
Five hundred (500)
word abstracts should be submitted for review no later than September
3, 2002. Proposers will be notified of acceptance no later than
