Hospice Foundation of America's 2007 Teleconference on Grief

Washington, DC - The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is pleased to announce that two NASW members and social workers will be presenting at the Hospice Foundation of America's (HFA) 2007 annual teleconference, Living with Grief: Before and After the Death. Scott Bradley, MSW, CT, CFSP, and Lorraine Hedtke, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, will be part of a multidisciplinary panel addressing this topic from 1:30-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2007.

Social workers have historically been the largest group of participants in this teleconference. They are able to join in the teleconference at difference sites across the country or host a site as a satellite program or webcast. The registration cost is $50 to host a site and free to individuals. The teleconference provides three continuing education units for a nominal fee. For more information or registration, please visit www.hospicefoundation.org or contact Kristen Baker at the HFA office at 1-800-854-3402.

Social workers have consistently been the foundation of hospice care related to the grief of the dying person and the grief of the family.  They have the unique education to understand the physical, social, and emotional effects of grief and loss.
