Released on November 1, 2005, this publication by the IOM in their Quality Chasm series provides information and recommendations for improving the quality of care in the mental health and substance-use fields.  The overarching goal of this publication is to tailor strategies and ideas from Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century, to reflect needs of the MH/SU populations that are distinct from needs in the general healthcare system.
