Keep Informed About Grant Opportunities at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) accepts electronic applications through www.grants.gov for all discretionary grants.  The Grants.gov site allows applicants to search for grant opportunities, download grant application packages, and submit applications.  Here are the benefits to you:

  • Register one time, and Grants.gov will generate your information for future applications so you do not have to continually re-enter the information.
  • Increase the completeness and accuracy of your applications with the site’s built-in error-checking.
  • Eliminate printing, copying, and postage costs associated with submitting hard copy grant applications.
  • Complete your application when and where you want.
  • Route your application electronically through your organization for review, then connect to the Internet and submit.
  • Use one application process for the 26 participating Federal departments and agencies.
  • Find and download applications from the same site.
  • Receive immediate electronic notification of grant opportunities and any changes to published announcements.
  • Obtain on-line and phone assistance services, which are available every business day.
