Making the Case  provides tools and fact sheets for identifying the prevalence of suicidal behavior among adolescents.  Fact sheets focus on warning signs, risk factors and protective factors.
A two part Community Assessment tool is provided to assist stakeholders and state research to practice teams:

  • gain perspective on suicide prevention needs in their community
  •  identify opportunities and challenges for moving EBPs forward in their state and local communities
  • Develop an action plan for next steps

Making the SHIFT gives state stakeholders a process and tools for building a state research to practice team that is focused on adopting evidence-based programs within their communities.

This section also provides a decision process for selecting and implementing an EBP suitable for your needs.   It includes checklists for evaluating and gauging:

  • Quality of research supporting program outcomes
  • Core program intervention and implementation components
  • Organizational & community climate
  • Site readiness for EBP adoption
  • Practitioner attitudes and readiness toward EBP adoption
Selected EBP Models for Suicide Prevention with Adolescents gives you detailed information on four evidence-based suicide prevention models for adolescents.  The identified programs meet the criteria established through two evidence-based practice registries: the Suicide Prevention Resource Center Best Practices Registry for Suicide Prevention and the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices.

The Interventions At A Glance provides a quick, comparative overview of key components of each program model.

The fact sheets provide more detailed program, outcome and contact information.
