Memoranda of Understanding

The NASW Board of Directors has approved agreements to work more closely with several sister social work organizations on special issues and projects that advance the profession. The following organizations support many professional and policy issues advocated by NASW, and are committed to similar ethical principles and core social work values.

American Association of Spinal Cord Injury Psychologists and Social Workers
Is organized and operated exclusively for scientific and educational purposes to advance and improve the psychosocial care of individuals with spinal cord injury; to develop and promote education and research related to the psychosocial care of individuals with spinal cord injury; and to recognize psychologists and social workers whose careers are devoted to the problems of spinal cord impairment.

 

Association for the Advancement of Social Work with Groups, Inc.
Promotes and enhances the practice of groupwork in the United States and internationally.

 

Canadian Association of Social Workers
Provides a national leadership role in strengthening and advancing the social work profession in Canada. CASW promotes social justice and well-being for all Canadian residents.

 

The National Network for Social Work Managers
Dedicated to equipping people-centered leaders.

 

School Social Work Association of America
Dedicated to promoting the professional development of School Social Workers in order to enhance the educational experience of students and their families.
