This teleconference will focus on Whitney Young's philosophy of leadership as it is modeled through the Whitney Young Film and Leadership Development Project. The project seeks to develop student leadership to foster democracy and equality. Based on the "Domestic Marshall Plan" of Whitney Young, social worker, civil rights leader, National Urban League director, and NASW president it emphasizes community development and prepares ethical social workers to address disparities that hinder our success as a nation.
